About Holy Nativity

Who We Are...

Holy Nativity is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Our congregation received its charter in January 1959, with a total of 131 members. Forty-eight years later, we're a community of 1200 believers.

As members of the ELCA, we believe in living the Gospel as personified by Jesus Christ.

Joining Holy Nativity

We would love to welcome you into Holy Nativity! Three times per year, we hold a class/brunch for people who have made the decision to join and for those who are considering the possibility. It's held on a Sunday, from noon until 3:30pm (child care is available). Those who make the decision to join are received into the congregation the following Sunday. Contact the church office for the next New Members/Inquiry Class, or download a New Member Class Registration Form, fill out and turn in to the church office.

Weddings

A church wedding is an event where two people make a public declaration of their commitment to one another in the presence of God and a gathered community. While it is shaped by your wishes, it is foremost a worship service. This means that the decisions which are made regarding the service are always mindful of the worshipful nature of the gathering. It is the intention of the pastors and staff at Holy Nativity to guide and assist in the necessary preparations.

Members of Holy Nativity are given priority in scheduling weddings, but the church is available to non-members as well. To schedule a wedding, contact the church office to check on the availability of the date. Your wedding will not be officially scheduled until the date has been approved by the staff. Non-members will be approved at the pastors' discretion. Weddings must be scheduled at least 90 days in advance.

Baptisms

In the sacrament of Baptism, we welcome those being baptized (of all ages) into our community of believers. Class is offered once per month for those considering a Baptism. Together, families and pastors set the date for the Baptism.

Using Our Facility

Holy Nativity has a variety of rooms that are available for use at the discretion of the staff. If you are interested in using our facility for non-profit purposes, please contact the church office with your request. After receiving approval from the office staff, you will receive a Facility Use Request Form to submit. This form can be also downloaded here:
